Blue Totoro in a Tree

Finished my most recent crochet project! I've been making little stress balls (aka, study buddies) for my friends at work and my friend Liz asked for a blue Totoro. Well as you can see, Challenge Accepted.  

I really love how he turned out! He's about 5 inches tall and made with Red Heart Soft Baby Steps "Deep Sky" yarn, and the tummy and eyes are cotton thread. 

Fun fact: This project was made mostly when I was watching Miyazaki movies: Whisper of the Heart, The Cat Returns, Spirited Away, and Kiki's Delivery Service. Oddly enough, I didn't watch My Neighbor Totoro.
